Die  Forschungsgruppe Europäische und Globale Arbeitsbeziehungen an der Hochschule Fulda hat zwei neue Bücher veröffentlicht.

Im Rahmen des von der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung und der Universität Duisburg-Essen eingerichteten Promotionskollegs, das insgesamt vier Promotionsstipendien umfasst, ist ab dem 1. April 2012 ein Promotionsstipendium für eine Laufzeit von maximal drei Jahren zu vergeben. Der Forschungsschwerpunkt des Stipendiums lautet: Betriebliche Mitbestimmung und die Teilhabe von Arbeitnehmerinnen und Arbeitnehmern in Bezug auf die Gestaltung von Mensch-Maschine-Systemen. Im Rahmen des Stipendiums sollen betriebliche Erfahrungen der Mitbestimmung von Betriebsräten und der Beteiligung von Beschäftigten an der Gestaltung neuer und technologisch basierter Arbeitssysteme untersucht und Ansätze einer guten Praxis für nachhaltige Gestaltungsprozesse entwickelt werden.

The Marco Biagi Foundation invites PhD candidates and post-doctoral researchers (holding a post-doctoral grant) to submit abstracts for a workshop in Labour Relations to be hosted as a special session of the Tenth International Conference in Commemoration of Professor Marco Biagi. The conference will take place in Modena, Italy, from 19 to 22 March 2012. The workshop will be held on Thursday 22 March 2012, from 8.30 am through 1.30 pm.

Those willing to participate in the workshop should submit a 1,000 word abstract along with a resume, including educational and academic career, publications, and contact information, no later than 1 October 2011. Please submit the abstract electronically (in English). The preferred format for submission is Microsoft Word.

The Organizing Committee of the 2011 Industrial Relations in Europe Conference IREC2011 is pleased to announce the launch of the call for papers for the conference to be held in Barcelona, 1^st and 2^nd September 2011. The general theme for this year's conference is 'Beyond the Crisis: Industrial Relations and Sustainable Growth'. In line with this theme, the general objectives of the conference are first of all to analyze and discuss which has been the contribution of industrial relations to recover a growth path. But we also think this discussion has to focus on the social sustainability of the recovery. Deadline for Submitting Abstracts is 28 February 2011.
